Andorra's thousand-year history can be seen in the many romanesuqe churches. Some of the most important are Santa Coloma (9th-10th centuries) in Andorra la Vella, one of the oldest and the only one with a circular bell tower; Sant Miquel d'Engolasters (13th century) in Escaldes-Engordany; and Sant Joan de Caselles (11th-12th centuries) in Canillo.
