Getting around in Barcelona and its metropolitan area is very easy thanks to an increasingly environmentally friendly public transport network -metro, streetcar, buses, and railroad-.

You can combine public transportation with cycling. Barcelona has more than 200 km of bike lanes that reach every corner of the city, as well as specific signposts and traffic lights, among other services. In addition to the bike lanes, you can ride your bike on other roads: streets and areas with a 30 km/h limit, single-platform streets and pedestrian zones, the sidewalk, and public parks.
