Nativity Scene at Pedralbes MonasteryChristmas Time, Popular festivals and traditions

The Real Monestir de Santa Maria de Pedralbes and the Associació de Pesebristes de Barcelona (the Association of Nativity Scene makers), true to their Christmas calendar, are organizing their traditional nativity scene, on show from December 14. This year's scene features two large dioramas representing the themes of the Nativity and the Adoration of the Three Wise Men, with figures created by the artists Montserrat Ribes and the Castells brothers.

Coinciding with the inauguration of the Nativity Scene, the Monastery will be offering an open day so that families can enjoy this cultural tradition.
