The exhibition “Economic Concert” by Oier Etxeberia, presented at La Virreina Centre de la Imatge, reflects on the connections between music, mathematics and social organisation. Drawing on references ranging from Pythagoras and mystical traditions to contemporary culture, the exhibition explores how sonic forms can become models for thinking about order, community and economy. Through texts, ideas and musical imaginaries, the project offers a critical reading of how harmony, rhythm and the collective chorus have historically shaped the notion of the “state” and the mechanisms that articulate the political body.
