Situated between the Nova Icària and Mar Bella beaches Bogatell beach is the result of the urban planning scheme which, with the boost given by Olympic Barcelona in 1992, made a firm commitment to making the seafront accessible and incorporating the beaches into green spaces, gardens and the neighbouring districts.

All city beaches have reserved parking with accessible routes to the dry beach area, signage and visual and tactile information, adapted toilets, adapted showers, and wooden walkways that reach as close to the water as possible. Public transport is also adapted to access the beaches from anywhere in the city.
Assisted bathing service for people with reduced mobility
This beach offers a service to help people with reduced mobility enter and exit the water and enjoy swimming. The service includes trained staff and the following facilities: accessible changing room equipped with a hoist system, height-adjustable stretcher for adults, toilet with side transfers on both sides, shaded pergola, accessible walkway, and all necessary flotation and bathing support equipment.
