  Sónar 2025

  Sónar is a festival of advanced music and multimedia art. But it's also much more than that: Sónar has become an international benchmark by developing what is essentially music to become an explosion of multimedia language, art and electronica, attracting fans eager for innovation from all over the world in the process.
  
  Over three dates, Sónar by Day (Fira Montjuïc de Barcelona), Sónar by Night (Gran Via de L'Hospitalet) and different venues all over the city, will offer hundreds of activities, including concerts, DJ sessions, screenings, debates, conferences and an abundance of multimedia projects.

  Mozart Summer Nights Festival

  In 2024, L'Auditori, and the resident Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, is launching a new edition of the Mozart Summer Nights Festival, with the aim of exploring the vast output of this Salzburg genius. The concerts will take place during the last week on June and the first week of July and feature young soloists with promising careers.

  La Mercè 2024

  Barcelona is once again celebrating its grand festival, in honor of its patron saint. A program full of different activities is planned for all the public, with music, dance, circus and street arts. And not forgetting the giants, dragons, fire beasts, human towers and sardana groups.
  
  La Mercè is also a festival of street arts with the MAC festival, Mercè Arts de Carrer. This is a festival which has become a showcase of new creations, and the meeting place for many artists, both from the city and overseas. The BAM Festival, Barcelona Acció Musical, will fill the streets with today's popular rhythms and concerts.
  
  La Mercè will end, as always, with the traditional fireworks and music display. an explosion of light and sound, which has become one of the most expected and acclaimed events for the people of Barcelona and its visitors.

  Swab Barcelona Art Fair

  The Swab contemporary art fair has now been running for more than fifteen years, and remains faithful to its mission of acting as an experimental platform for emerging artistic ideas. Founded by the architect and collector Joaquín Diez-Cascón, Swab is an event that brings together some 80 galleries from the international art scene. The fair strives for close contact with the public, selecting and presenting the freshest proposals on the international scene, reflecting the latest trends and innovations in the art world.

  Setmana del Llibre en Català

  La Setmana del Llibre en Català is one of Catalonia – and Spain's – major literary events, that is now in its 41st year. Passeig de Lluís Companys will host this year 242 exhibitors and over 250 activities: tours, book presentations, dialogs with authors, literary dissemination activities, concerts and children's activities. All thanks to the exhibitors and collaborating entities.

  42 Fantasy Genres Festival of Barcelona

  42, the Fantasy Genres Festival of Barcelona is coming back to the city. A literature festival dedicated to fantasy and science fiction tales with talks, presentations, interviews, workshops, recitals, exhibitions and other activities related to this literary genre.
  This fourth edition of 42 will present national and international authors such as Victoria Álvarez, P. Djèlí Clark, Ava Reid and Albert Sánchez Piñol.

  Beyond the standard tour of this stunning modernist complex by Antoni Gaudí, the exhibition "The hidden side of Palau Güell" allows visitors to discover hidden corners and details that are not accessible to the public. This exhibition of original photographs by Ramon Manent, who specializes in art and architecture, is included in the price of the entrance ticket to the building.

  ArtsLibris

  This publishing fair specializing in artist publications, photobooks, contemporary thought, self-publishing and digital publications has been holding three annual events in Barcelona, Madrid and Lisbon since 2009, with the aim of creating meeting points between art and society through books. ArtsLibris is based on experimentation and dialogue through curatorial projects, seminars, debates, exhibitions, performances and much more. In addition, this year, the publishing collective behind the fair has opened a bookstore in Barcelona; a permanent space to continue bringing new publishing approaches to the public.

  MIRA 2024 Digital Arts Festival Fira de Barcelona

  The Barcelona Digital Arts Festival is celebrating its 13th edition, with a larger capacity thanks to its new location at the Fira de Barcelona [Barcelona Trade Fair]. Audio-visual shows, live bands, large-format art installations, 360º projections, digital art gallery and DJ sessions will take place over two days. This year, the musical programme includes Kim Gordon, along with performances by other artists such as Snow Strippers, Oneohtrix Point, Lorenzo Senni, Craig Richards and many more.
