  Halloween in the Poble Espanyol Spanish Village

  To really experience Halloween in style, the Poble Espanyol will become the most terrifying part of the city for a month. Designed for both children and adults, this event includes family shows, a cementery and even a tunnel of terror. As well as a number of hair-raising surprises, the village will also be filled with chestnuts and sweet potatoes for a well-deserved bite to eat.   Fira de Santa Llúcia

  La Fira de Santa Llúcia is a street market which has been held since at least 1786 in front of the Cathedral around Christmas time. You will find Christmas trees on sale there, as well as baubles, wreaths and mistletoe. However, the main attraction of this fair are the pieces used to set up the nativity scene: figurines, moss, the manger, fountains and the ineffable "caganer" that surprises us every year with new incarnations. During the Fair, there will be lots of activities and shows related to Christmas to enjoy, a tió gigante (giant man), dances and musical performances.

  The eDreams Barcelona Half Marathon passes through the city's most emblematic streets.   The 44th edition of the Terrassa Jazz Festival will take place at various venues of Terrassa and the region of Vallès Occidental. Different activities, the majority concerts, and artists, both from today's national and international scene, will take over Nova Jazz Cava, and also squares, parks, patios, terraces and different administration buildings. The Festival covers movies, dance, swing, competitions, workshops, exhibitions and gastronomic routes, for jazz music to once again take the leading role.

  History and literature are the leading players of this movie festival. The International Film Festival Barcelona - Sant Jordi, or the BCN Film Fest 2025, presents a selection of international movies, which are adaptations of literary works or productions, with a historical theme or biographies of famous people. The festival coincides with Sant Jordi, a popular, cultural festival. Maintaining this link, the International Film Festival Barcelona - Sant Jordi, is open to the public interested in movies and culture. The BCN Film Festival is also educational, hence part of programming is addressed to schools to offer the teaching community a new educational resource.

  Gran Teatre del Liceu Season 20232024

  The Gran Teatre del Liceu is one of Barcelona's iconic venues and among the world's most spectacular opera houses. It begins the new season with an ambitious series of performances. The season will feature major works such as Turandot, Carmen, Un ballo in maschera and Fidelio. The theatre will also be hosting dance performances featuring A Midsummer Night's Dream performed by the Ballet Dortmund and The Swan Lake performed by Ballet del Teatro dell'Opera di Roma.
  
  There will also be concert performances of works by Mendelssohn, Schubert and Monteverdi. And, finally, families will be able to enjoy the season for kids, the Petit Liceu, which will feature different shows, including La Barcarola and Rossini's Kitchen.
