The exhibition Self-penetration offers a retrospective on the career of the playwright and director Eugenio Barba and his company, Odin Teatret, considered a pioneer of the so-called Third Theater. Founded by Barba in 1964, Odin Teatret positioned itself on the fringes of theatrical institutions and avant-garde movements, seeking new forms of expression on the outskirts of the great European and Latin American capitals. Through his work, Barba promoted a concept of theater based on collective creation and non-hierarchical organization, where cultural roots and the interiority of the human body become the main territories to be explored.

The exhibition, curated by Roger Bernat, covers Odin Teatret's activity between 1971 and 1979, highlighting the period in which the company consolidated dissident forms of traditional theater, influencing the cultural movements of the time. This journey explores the concept of collective self-penetration, which was a key element in the work of Odin Teatret and which involved incorporating new languages and approaches into contemporary theater.
