The exhibition Uncertain Times: mid-war Germany offers an in-depth view of the Weimar Republic (1919-1933), a period marked by political and ideological instability, but also by unbridled creativity that still has relevance today. This historical period, born out of the ashes of the Great War, presented a society in transformation, where concepts such as gender roles, authority, music and technology as a form of artistic expression were brought into question and redefined.

Through photographs, paintings, sculptures, music, scenography, interactive games and projections, the exhibition presents a cross-sectional view of the debates and changes of the period, in which figures such as Thomas Mann, Käthe Kollwitz, Otto Dix and Jeanne Mammen played a prominent role. Uncertainty characterized the spirit of the age, a time of profound crisis and transformative possibilities.
