Balloon adventure exploring Mas de Sant Iscle
Can you picture yourself enjoying a bird's eye view of a beautiful vineyard landscape in a balloon? There couldn't be a more original way of discovering a historic wine-producing region in Catalonia, like the Pla de Bages. And the Mas de Sant Iscle winery is of the same opinion. It organises balloon rides that invite families to enjoy this amazing adventure. The meeting point is the Parc de l'Agulla, from where you'll take flight and enjoy superlative views of the plain, the majestic mountains of Montserrat and the Sant Llorenç del Munt i l'Obac Natural Park. At the end of the flight, you'll return to the starting point and make your way to the Mas de Sant Iscle winery, just over a kilometre away, which is open to visitors.

Experience the Heretat, family tour of the Llopart winery
Young and old will have a wonderful time if they sign up for the tour organised by Llopart to find out what it's like to live among the vineyards at their estate, the Heretat. The meeting point is the Can Llopart farmhouse, in the municipality of Subirats, which boasts one of the prettiest, picture-postcard views of the Penedès with the mountains of Montserrat in the background. The tour of the vineyards is complemented by a walk around the yard with its hens, and inside the farmhouse, where there are some old farmers' tools on display and a small cellar. The experience invites you to learn more about the wine-maker's craft across the generations. And to round off the tour, you'll share a glass of wine with a snack outside the farmhouse. The kids can enjoy a tasting of locally produced chocolate and grape juice.

The Restless Grape: theatre and wines at the Alta Alella winery
Theatre is an artistic expression that fulfils us and cultivates the soul. At the Alta Alella winery, they use theatre to teach families with kids about the culture of wine in a fun, accessible way. Its wine tourism offer also includes a theatre adaptation of Elisenda Guiu's short story The Restless Grape, which is performed inside the winery. The actor will explain how wine is made, from the vineyard, where the grapes begin to grow, to the winery, where the wine is aged and bottled. The visit ends with a grape juice tasting for the kids and wines and cavas for the adults.

You can enjoy the activities at the rural classroom, the Aula Rural, at Can Calopa. It is an open space which is part of the cooperative winery, L'Olivera, and raises awareness of the natural and rural heritage of the area. It also runs educational activities about biodiversity, agroecology, rural life and the social and solidarity economy. The project is fully committed to peri-urban farming as an engine for social change. Its activities invite you to be a farmer for a day, or a shepherd among the vines, with the emphasis always on educating and informing. The activities end with a tasting of the products made on the estate.
