Throughout his life, Antoni Tàpies remained committed to various social causes in favor of human rights. His avant-garde, utopian and transformative spirit led him to take an active part in political action during the Franco regime, supporting Catalan social and political movements, and during the democratic era to show solidarity with international causes from a modern and progressive standpoint. Now, the History Museum of Catalonia is bringing together a wide selection of the artist's works and unpublished documentary material to portray his tireless activism..
