BesArt. The River Museum
BesArt. The River Museum is Europe's largest open-air, urban museum project. It is located along the banks of the Besòs, one of the rivers that mark the city's boundary.
A wall stretching for 18 kilometres across the Barcelona Metropolitan Area will provide artists with a surface of 5,000,000 m2 to create their murals. The museum begins along the stretch of river in the town of Santa Coloma de Gramenet.
The project launched with a mural by the US-born Spanish artist, Octavi Aryz, who is based in Barcelona. It calls on us to set aside confrontations and join together in search of the common good.
BesArt. The River Museum is a space in the city where you can enjoy the creativity of young artists from Barcelona, the rest of Spain and around the world, on a vast stone canvas that seems to stretch to infinity. An initiative of the Associació Mediterranean Street Art, the Reial Cercle Artístic de Barcelona and Santa Coloma de Gramenet Town Council.
